Educational Background My name is Karen Osterhoudt, and I am a native of Kennesaw, Georgia. I attended Due West Elementary, Pine Mountain and Lost Mountain Middle Schools, and graduated from Harrison High School in 1997. Now, here I am teaching at a Cobb County school, too!
I graduated with a bachelor's degree in Public Relations from the University of Georgia in 2002. After working in Atlanta for a law firm's technology department for 3 years, I realized that teaching was my passion. I completed an additional bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education at Kennesaw State University in 2007. A few years later, I finished my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction through the American College of Educators in 2011. I am now in my last year of my Educational Specialist Program in Leadership from Kennesaw State University. |
Teaching Experience |
While teaching in Cobb County, I have taught both fourth and fifth grade. This will be my eleventh year teaching, and I am excited to be teaching a grade level that I love! Our curriculum is rigorous, but filled with many challenges and interesting topics of study.

Personal Notes |
In my spare time, I enjoy playing tennis, working out, reading, and seeing movies. We are also HUGE UGA fans at my house, and enjoy cheering on the Bulldogs! I look forward to another exciting year with you and your child here at Lewis!
